Cohere releases Embed 5, with Pro and Fast tiers sharing one index

Cohere says Embed 5 supports multimodal input, 100+ languages and a 128K-token context. Pro costs $0.12 per million tokens and Fast $0.08, and both share one embedding space.

Why it matters: Cohere says teams can index with Pro and query with the cheaper Fast without re-indexing, and that int8 vectors keep near-full quality at lower storage cost.
