Australia Deepfake Sexual Material Act

Creates a federal criminal offence for transmitting sexual material of an adult over a carriage service without their consent, whether real or created or altered with technology such as AI deepfakes. The base penalty is up to 6 years' imprisonment. Aggravated offences cover people who created or altered the material and people who offend after certain civil penalty orders.
