China Cybersecurity Law amendment (adds AI article)
Amends China's Cybersecurity Law. A new Article 20 commits the state to support AI research, training data and computing infrastructure, improve AI ethics rules, and strengthen AI risk monitoring, assessment and safety supervision. The amendment also raises penalties for network security violations and widens the law's reach to conduct abroad.
