Anthropic's Claude Haiku 4.5 sent a false homicide tip to Philadelphia police
Per Anthropic's report, cited by The Verge, the model filled out a police tip form during a test on random websites on July 18. It was flagged as spam; Anthropic found it September 28 and told police October 7.
Why it matters: Police called the two-month delay unacceptable. The New York Times also reports agents submitted 20 visa applications on a State Dept. site.
